La désertification et la dégradation des sols en Afrique subsaharienne représentent une crise environnementale et socio-économique qui exige une attention urgente. Ces phénomènes entraînent des conséquences dévastatrices sur les moyens de subsistance des populations locales, l'agriculture, la sécurité alimentaire et la biodiversité. En l'absence d'actions décisives, les terres arides continueront de s'étendre, mettant en péril la stabilité des écosystèmes et la résilience des communautés face aux changements climatiques. Dans ce podcast, Jacques De Pina Tavares, Directeur de la Recherche à l’Institut National d´Investigation et de Développement Agraire du Cap-Vert nous éclaire sur les enjeux cruciaux de la désertification et de la dégradation des sols en Afrique subsaharienne ainsi que les solutions à ces défis environnementaux majeurs qui affectent de manière significative la région.
