The Nexus of Water-Energy-Food is at the center of climate change mitigation and adaptation. In fact, the many approaches for these sectors cannot be undertaken in isolation but it has to be included as part of a holistic model. Such a model would include all the different components related to water and energy, and be able to evaluate the impact on food security and agriculture production. Thus, food security and agriculture sustainability find its critical and complex footprint at the nexus of water, energy, food (WEF) and climate change in Morocco, and other regions of the world.

Whether President Trump is reelected or not, the United States will, sooner or later, revert to a traditonalist foreign policy of openness and alliances. If Joe Biden beats Donald Trump on November 3, as he is expected to do, the United States will return to a traditionalist brand of foreign policy: one of openness, support for multilateralism, and constructive engagement with allies. But even if Biden doesn’t winwhich is possible—and four more years of Trump’s America First polici ...

It is only recently that the international community has begun referring to tackling the root causes of migration. The importance of job creation has emerged as one of the key ways to convince young people to stay in their countries of origin. However, solely creating jobs is insufficient if the jobs are vulnerable and do not pay decent wages. This policy brief provides recommendations on priority areas to ensure decent living conditions in origin countries. These priorities include ...

Following months of negotaitions, extremist group JNIM released three foreign and one Malian political leader hostages. Malian government led these talks while France and Italy played minor role, if any at all. JNIM received at least €10 million in addition to 204 of its members released from prison. One of the prisoners released is charged in the U.S. with the murder of a U.S. during Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso attack in 2016. Other members released would provide a major boost to JNI ...

The so-called QAnon conspiracy theory has inspired groups with millions of members on Facebook and is considered by some observers to be “a new American religion”. For the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation, however, the conspiracy theorists could pose a domestic terrorist threat. Q followers believe the baseless messages of their faceless leader(s) that a cabal of Satan-worshipping pedophiles is running a global child-trafficking ring and plotting against Donald Trump, who is bat ...
