Highlights from China, Morocco and Africa: Ties for a shared Development seminar

The Policy Center for the New South held on September 19th, in its headquarters in Rabat, a roundtable on « China, Morocco and Africa: Ties for a shared Development »in partnership with the Chinese Embassy. More about the event : https://bit.ly/2n9jHe4 At a time when the African economy is entering a new stage of development and transformation, there is an important potential for strengthening economic cooperation between China and Africa. The Belt and Road Initiative, adopted by the Chinese government, comes to deepen the already existing ties, and places Morocco as a key actor in China’s expansion to new African markets. In this regard, the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding in 2017, aiming to promote the Belt and Road Initiative.
