La question de l'immigration occupe une place croissante dans le débat politique en Espagne. Alors qu’un tiers des Espagnols la considère comme le principal problème du pays, surpassant même des questions telles que le chômage ou le logement. À l'instar d'autres pays européens, les discours politiques se durcissent, notamment avec l'ascension de l'extrême droite. Ce phénomène soulève des enjeux non seulement pour la politique intérieure du pays, mais également pour ses relations bilatérales avec le Maroc, souvent désigné dans ce contexte. Ivan Martin, Senior Fellow au Policy Center for the New South, éclaire sur la perception publique, les flux migratoires et les politiques à adopter pour faire face à ces défis.
