Futures Literacy and Foresight

Futures literacy and foresight play crucial roles in promoting intergenerational equity by empowering individuals and societies to envision and shape a sustainable future that transcends the present. Futures literacy involves developing the ability to explore multiple possible futures, understand the underlying forces driving change, and critically assess the implications of our actions today on future generations. By cultivating futures literacy, we become better equipped to identify potential risks and opportunities, anticipate emerging challenges, and make informed decisions that prioritize the long-term well-being of all generations.
