Les fonds souverains en Afrique sont devenus des acteurs majeurs dans le domaine financier du continent. Ils représentent une diversité d'outils d'investissement engagés à la fois dans la recherche de profits et dans la promotion du développement socio-économique. Ils ne se contentent pas de chercher des profits, mais s'efforcent également d'avoir un impact positif sur l'économie, la société et l'environnement. Leur capacité à aligner les intérêts financiers avec les priorités de développement en fait des partenaires essentiels pour la croissance et la réduction de la pauvreté en Afrique. Dans cet épisode, nous tentons d’explorer avec notre invité, M. Henri-Luis Védie, Senior Fellow au Policy Center for the New South, le paysage des fonds souverains dans le continent africain, leur évolution et leur contribution dans la stimulation de la croissance économique et la création d'emplois.

Ahmed Ouhnini is an Economist at the Policy Center for the New South. His research area covers agricultural economics, human and social development. Previously, he has worked as a researcher at the Paris School of Economics (PSE) and has also a record of working in consulting services in Morocco. Ahmed holds an engineering Diploma in Agriculture and Rural Development from the National School of Agriculture of Meknes and a Master’s Degree in Law, Economics and Management from the Paris 1 Pantheon Sorbonne Institute of Development. ...
Henri-Louis Vedie
Senior Fellow
Henri Louis Vedie is a Senior Fellow at Policy Center for the New South. Holding a doctorate in economic sciences from Dauphine University Paris, and a graduate in Law from Université Paris I, Henri-Louis Vedie is also Professor Emeritus at HEC Paris, where he teaches in the Paris campus as well as Moscow, Varsovia, Belgrade, Abu Dhabi, Rabat, and more.  Author of sixteen books, of which the last few concerned Morocco and sovereign funds, hundreds of articles (of which some where translated in English, French, Arabic, Polish and Russian), Henri-Louis Vedie was also a consultant for the European Council and a member of the Economic, Social and Environmental board in Paris. ...
