Climate change and environmental security: a global priority

Mohammed Loulichki, Senior Fellow at the Policy Center for the New South, will participate in the Advanced Research Workshop (ARW) organized by NATO Science for Peace and Security Programme, under the theme: “Climate change and natural hazards in the Euro-Mediterranean region: security impacts and crisis management”. He will intervene during the Opening Conference in the session titled: “Climate change and environmental security: a global priority”, taking place on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Med-Or Foundation Headquarters, Rome, Italy.
The workshop will focus on environmental security and is addressed to personnel from civilian and military institutions, diplomatic circles, and academia. it will reflect the recent strategic developments of the Atlantic Alliance and will address the origins and potential impacts of climate change, as well as the risks arising from natural events (seismic, atmospheric, and volcanic activity) in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
