It was a privilege to take part in the 2022 Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders (ADEL) program, and by extension, welcomed to the Atlantic Dialogues conference.
As a policy analyst in Canada's natural resources sector, I was pleased to connect with professionals forwarding energy policy across the Atlantic region. As part of the ADEL program, I benefited from a site visit of the Green Energy Park in Benguerir, the first platform of its kind in Africa developed to support the pooling of research infrastructures and knowledge by partner universities and Moroccan industry. Further, my participation in the Atlantic Dialogues conference built on my knowledge of the Canadian natural resources sector to consider energy security challenges more broadly.
Over three days of bespoke programming, I benefited from connecting with fellow young leaders, each bringing unique knowledge and insights from across the Atlantic. Together, we pooled expertise, challenged assumptions, and grew professionally through the opportunity to come together in Marrakech. I'm grateful to the Policy Centre for the New South for supporting young professionals through the ADEL program, and look forward to continuing to engage with the ADEL alumni community for years to come.
