Winnie Mutai is currently the Climate Change Finance and Readiness Expert of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) at the African Development Bank (AfDB) where she is tasked to provide policy and technical support to countries in developing their own country readiness program that is an enabler to them mobilizing resources from the GCF. She previously has served as a Multilateral Diplomacy officer at Embassy of Sweden to Kenya where she was tasked with coordinating Environmental Diplomacy discussions and engagements between Sweden and UNEP and UNEP-Habitat and the EU. She is a German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Fellow and had a full scholarship for a Masters in Research and Public Policy. For her Undergraduate degree, she pursued a Bachelor in Development studies.
