Nejat Abdella works as an analyst at Dalberg Advisers, a leading strategy consulting firm focused on international development based in Addis Ababa. At Dalberg, Nejat specializes in the areas of humanitarian assistance, food security and migration.
Nejat is also the co-deputy of Dalberg’s global Conflict and Humanitarian Assistance practice area (CSHA). Her recent engagements at Dalberg include carrying out a business review for the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) Community Based Complementary Feeding Program in Ethiopia and conducting a Sustainability Assessment of NTD programs in Ethiopia for the Ministry of Health.
Prior to joining Dalberg, Nejat worked with the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UNWOMEN), International Labor Organization (ILO), Coalition for Dialogue on Africa (CoDA) and the African Union Commission (AUC). She also maintains active involvement in her community, currently serving as one of the co-founders of Megengana- a professional development platform aimed at fostering career development, matching demand and supply for skilled talent, promoting valuable career advice, building networks, and delivering social enrichment to its members. Nejat was a Chevening Scholar at the London School of Economics and a Global Citizen Scholar at Trent University, Canada.
