You enter as an ordinary professional, but leave an extraordinary one! This is how I summarise the ADEL program combined with the Atlantic Dialogues conference. Being a part of the 2022 cohort, the first edition following the COVID-19 pandemic and in the midst of a war, both of which have severely disrupted national and global development agendas, this was an ideal program which helped trigger thoughts and solution-oriented discussions on how we can influence and even reshape policy in the present and future within our respective fields.

Coming from the small Caribbean Island of Saint Lucia, a country with strong diplomatic ties with Morocco, it was also interesting to get a first-hand view of progress and opportunities in key areas, particularly in solar energy for instance.

The ADEL 2022 experience was undoubtedly impactful that I often find myself making reference to this in discussions with colleagues. With an amazing alumni community and the ability for us to connect, I am keenly looking forward to the collaborative actions which are and will continue to emerge within the Atlantic basin!
