La Conférence Annuelle Africaine Sur la Paix et la Sécurité (APSACO), organisée par l’OCP Policy Center, s’est tenue les 10 et 11 juillet à Rabat. Cette première édition portant sur l’autonomie stratégique de l’Union Africaine (UA) avait pour but principal de mener une réflexion sérieuse et constructive sur les différentes options probables et réalistes de la montée en puissance de cette organisation internationale comme acteur autonome, mais interdépendant avec le monde. La Conférence visait également à lancer un débat africain profond sur la place du continent dans la production du discours stratégique mondial

Ont participé à cette conférence, des chercheurs, des diplomates, des militaires, des représentants des think tanks et de la société civile, et le secteur privé venant pour certains des pays africains, et pour d’autres de l’Europe et des Etats-Unis. Ont également pris une part active aux travaux, d’honorables hauts responsables, ex- premier ministre, ministres et ex-ministres de la Guinée, de la Côte d’ivoire, du Royaume-Uni, de la France, du Nigeria, des Etats-Unis d’Amérique, du Ghana, du Portugal et du Maroc.

Outre la cérémonie d’ouverture sous la présidence de M. Karim EL AYNAOUI, Directeur général de l’OCP Policy Center et le discours inaugural de Son excellence Docteur Mohamed DIANE, Ministre d’Etat auprès du Président de la République chargé de la Défense de la République de Guinée, l’agenda de la Conférence comportait également quatre conversations avec des personnalités politiques internationales (format : Keynote Speech & Discussion) et cinq sessions en plénières.

Des informations complémentarités concernant les participants, l’agenda de la conférence et autres statistiques sont regroupées dans un document unique joint en annexe du présent rapport.
