En avril 2021, la Banque mondiale, le Programme des Nations Unies pour le développement (PNUD) et le Policy Center for the New South ont lancé une série de dialogues intitulée « Parlons développement » dans le but de stimuler le débat public autour des enjeux de développement du Maroc.

Cette série de dialogues – et la notion de dialogues est essentielle dans le concept de ces rencontres - a pour but d’examiner les opportunités et les défis dans la trajectoire du Maroc vers un développement inclusif, durable et résilient, prenant comme référentiel les Objectifs de développement durable (ODD) et le Nouveau Modèle de Développement (NMD).

L’initiative « Parlons développement » démocratise le concept de développement pour le rendre tangible, en particulier pour les jeunes, qui sont les acteurs et bénéficiaires principaux des dialogues et qui ont un rôle crucial à jouer dans la réalisation du développement durable.

En réunissant de nombreux acteurs nationaux et internationaux de tout horizons, « Parlons développement » permet aux jeunes de prendre part au débat public et de stimuler la recherche et les analyses sur le modèle de développement du Royaume.

    Income inequality is high in Morocco. In 2013, the share of national income1  of the richest 10% in Morocco stood at nearly 32%, 12 times higher than the share of national income of the poorest 10% of the population.
