Salim Dehmej is an economist in the Monetary and Capital Markets Department of the IMF. Since he joined the international institution in 2018, he covered several topics and countries (Iraq, Lebanon, Russia, and the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa - CEMAC) from different departments. He participated to the Russia 2021 Financial Sector Assessment Program, covering macroprudential policy and transition-climate risk. He previously served as the responsible of the Financial Stability Unit at the Research Department of Bank Al-Maghrib between 2016 and 2018. He visited the Bank for International Settlements and the Bank of England, taught courses, and published several papers in academic journals and media. He completed his Ph.D. in economics at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University in 2015.
