Marissa Fortune is a passionate advocate for youth leadership in policy-making at the local, national and global levels. She is the Programs Lead for the Young Diplomats of Canada, a Global Shaper with the World Economic Forum, and a member of the Canadian Coalition for Youth Peace and Security. Marissa is currently a Senior Analyst at Global Affairs Canada. Within the Canadian government Marissa has worked on a variety of issues from immigration and social policy to Canada’s 2020 UN Security Council campaign and the management of Canada’s $7 billion international assistance budget. She currently works on the Future of Diplomacy, which is tasked with transforming Canada's capacity to respond to emerging global issues. Marissa holds degrees from McGill University and the Geneva Graduate Institute.
