Lisa Ventura joined Better Cotton, the world’s leading sustainability initiative for cotton, as its first Public Affairs Manager. She focuses on shaping a supportive policy environment by advocating for improvements in sustainable cotton production, sourcing and trade. Before joining Better Cotton, Lisa has worked for over 8 years at the World Economic Forum (WEF), managing complex models of public-private partnerships to drive social change. With a strong focus on business and human rights, she has been working with leaders from NGOs as well as the private and public sectors to build more resilient and sustainable societies. Prior, Lisa worked for the International Commission of Jurists and McKinsey & Company. She holds a MA in International Law from SOAS University of London, UK and a BA in European Politics from the University of Nottingham, UK. Lisa is a World Economic Forum Global Leadership Fellow.
