Joana Ama Osei-Tutu- is the Head of the Women Peace and Security Institute (WPSI) at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Center (KAIPTC) in Accra, Ghana. She works and supports the integration of gender perspectives into the Centre’s courses, policies and programs. She advocates for relevant stakeholders to have and operate a gender sensitive organization. She engages with national, regional, continental and international agencies in the implementation of the Women Peace and Security agenda. She is a seasoned facilitator in the area of peace and security with a focus on protection of civilians, human trafficking, women, peace and security.
Joana holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology from the University of Ghana, and a Masters in International Studies (Development Cooperation) from the Ewha Womans University, Seoul, South Korea.
