Hajar Mountassir is currently a project manager at OCP Group’s Reputation and Public Affairs team. She is passionate about international development, more particularly agricultural development and climate action. 2019 marked the year she moved from South Korea where she ended her Asian journey at the Green Climate Fund’s Independent Grievance Mechanism, to her home-country Morocco. At OCP Group, Hajar explores ways to engage and build strategic partnerships with international organizations, foundations, research centers and other relevant stakeholders to amplify and further encourage progress on the group’s roadmap to the agenda 2030 as well as develop capacity for future engagement.Having worked closely with African youth both in climate action and in agriculture through various projects including the African Youth Climate Initiative, she firmly believes young Africans’ hold the key to unleash the continent’s development potential and that the urgency around the continent’s most pressing developmental challenges implies, among other things, a profound change in the ways African youth contribute to tackling such issues. Hajar holds a BSc in Management at the London School of Economics (LSE) and a MA in International law and development at Yonsei University (Seoul, Korea). Outside of her professional activities, she is a nature lover and enjoys watching football, as well as playing tennis.
