Florencio Venté
Co-director, Migration Youth and Children Platform (MYCP)

Florencio Venté is a Colombian youth leader, peacebuilder, and impact entrepreneur. He currently serves as the Co-director of MYCP, advocating for over 4,000 youth and youth organizations worldwide to influence international policymaking. He has led initiatives with organizations such as UNICEF, working towards bringing opportunities to youth in the context of displacement. Florencio founded Glocals, an initiative that connects migrants and diaspora with local host communities through social dialogues to combat discrimination. At just 12 years old, he started his civic engagement for youth and minorities, motivated by personal experiences. He has been a former member of several councils in Colombia and Brazil, contributing to national and local policies.

He is a Master’s social integration scholar, holds a bachelor’s degree in international business, and has completed postgraduate studies in innovation, peacebuilding, and conflict resolution. Florencio is also a fellow of the Emerging Leaders program by the Aspire Institute at Harvard and the Western Union Foundation Program for Social Entrepreneurs.
