Elisa Mendez is currently an Operations Team Assistant at The World Bank in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, working with the Social Protection Unit to improve the Conditional Cash Transfer Program and strengthen the integration of the social protection system for the extreme poor. She is also involved in a potential Development Policy Loan focusing on fiscal transparency and climate sustainability in Honduras. Prior to this, she served as a Junior Economist at the Central American Bank for Economic Integration, where she led the preparation and design of the Statistical Yearbook, collaborated on technical documentation for development policy loans in Central America, and supported the preparation of the Monthly Market Variables Reports. Elisa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the National Autonomous University of Honduras.
