Ana Janaina Nelson (Jana) is the Government Relations and Corporate Responsibility Director for Latin America at Bacardi. Prior to Bacardi, she was the multinational consulting firm Speyside Corporate Relations where she served as Vice-President for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.
From 2010 to 2015, Jana served as a policy adviser and diplomat at the United States Department of State. For the U.S. government, she also worked in the U.S. Senate and at the Pentagon. Before joining public service, Jana was a consultant for the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, a DC-based think tank. Jana received her M.A. from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and her B.A. in International Relations from University of Brasilia. Jana is a native speaker of English and Portuguese and is fluent in Spanish and French. In Latin America, Jana has lived and worked in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, and Argentina.
